Job Summary:

Within the Mission and Strategic Plan established for Friendship Industries, Inc. & Able Solutions, Inc., the Industrial Mechanic is responsible for the production equipment, ensuring safe operation and a high level of equipment availability / uptime. The Industrial Mechanic has a high level of professionalism, ethical behavior, and effective decision-making at all times to support our mission and ongoing business strategies.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations (Energy Control, Equipment guarding, etc.)
• Keep the assembly, packaging or manufacturing machines in an industrial environment operational
• Performing repairs on machines that have been damaged due to use or operator errors
• Conducting regular maintenance checks, performing PMs, troubleshooting problems and performing repairs on equipment as needed
• Dismantling machines and repairing or replacing defective parts
• Maintain inventory on critical parts

· Demonstrated troubleshooting skills

· Follows a schedule to optimize system / equipment performance

· Assures all maintenance logs and records are maintained

· Maintain SDS sheets for chemicals / supplies

· Other duties as assigned

Schedule:

• 10-12 hour shift (M-F)
• No weekends

Education/Experience Requirement:

· High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience

Essential Skillset:

· Ability to travel between local sites as needed.

· Capable of driving a box truck / passenger van

· Capable of learning basic controls electronics

· Ability to work in a professional manner at all times

· Ability to cultivate positive working relationships

· Excellent verbal and written communication

· Computer skills: Email, Word, Excel, MS suit are a plus

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Skillset:

· Prior industrial maintenance (2+) or Individuals currently working towards maintenance related certificate

Environmental Exposure:

· Warehouse Packaging Environment

Physical Requirements:

· Must wear and use safety and protective equipment

· Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted

· Must be able to bend, twist, reach, and sit
