POSITION SUMMARY:
Prepares food for all full-service Copper Kettle Restaurant, working in a team environment. Cooking stations may include, prep, sandwiches & salads, fryers, and grill, depending on experience. Weekend and holiday work is required. This is a part-time position.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares food for daily menus, both for pre-shift preparation and while in production, following all standardized recipes and specifications
- Sets up work stations and mise en place
- Cooks with various utensils and equipment
- Prepares daily specials
- Provides ideas for menu creation
- Verifies and puts away food/supply deliveries
- Monitors food and supply stock for quality and shortages
- Maintains standards of sanitation and safety
- Complies with any assignment provided by their supervisor
- Adheres to all kitchen policies and procedures
- Makes recommendations for maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the kitchen and its equipment
- Assists in maintaining the security of the kitchen, equipment, and inventory
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments
- Performs any other duties as directed
