Full Time Neonatology Job Roanoke, VA
Medical Director or Associate Medical Director NeonatologyRoanoke, Virginia | Full-Time | J-1 Visa Candidates Accepted Position Overview:Join a prestigious team of 10 neonatologists and 5 NNPs at a 60-bed regional perinatal center in Roanoke, VAoffering advanced clinical practice in a vibrant community in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
- Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Leadership Role: Serve as Medical Director or Associate Medical Director
- Not a Locums Position
- Visa Sponsorship: J-1 visa sponsorship available
- Lead or support NICU operations to ensure high-quality, evidence-based neonatal care
- Provide clinical coverage (day shifts, call, weekend rotation)
- Work across:
- Hospital: 60-bed Level IV NICU
- Medical Center: 6-bed Level II NICU
- Utilize advanced NICU modalities:
- High-frequency ventilation
- Whole-body cooling
- Nitric oxide therapy
- Collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine specialists, pediatric surgeons, and a multidisciplinary care team
- Participate in quality improvement and research (Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative)
- Engage in medical education with Virginia Tech School of Medicine students and pediatric/family medicine residents Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
- Leadership experience preferred for Medical Director role
- Willingness to relocate to Roanoke, VA (local residency required)
