Dental Assistant
We are a friendly, patient-focused dental practice located in the heart of Centreville, VA. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. We’re looking for a dependable and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team and help us deliver exceptional care to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions, etc.)
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Record and update patient information and treatment notes in the practice management software
- Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions and ensure they feel comfortable and informed
- Maintain dental supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed
- Support front desk operations when needed, including scheduling and patient check-in/out
Qualifications
- Required: Dental Assistant certification in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
- X-ray certification required
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply)
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Team-oriented, reliable, and detail-focused
