ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Under this role, the candidate will be responsible for the operations and maintenance (O&M), system engineering, and ongoing development of custom web-based data analytic tools. Working under the organization's guidance, the candidate will collaborate with application users to enhance existing tools and brainstorm new additions to the suite.
The candidate will also develop an accredited platform for data storage, processing, and application that addresses the organization’s most complex data challenges. All development efforts and modifications to existing applications will adhere to the organization's security and architectural standards and regulations.

Effective communication and collaboration across various organizational boundaries are essential for this role, involving interactions with other candidate teams, organization staff, candidate personnel, and external stakeholders. The candidate is expected to thrive in fast-paced environments, effectively supporting mission-critical needs and aiding the organization's decision-making processes. This role demands a high level of engagement and expertise to drive the organization's objectives forward.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Generating ideas for revolutionary technologies supporting operations in the hard target mission space
• Entrepreneurial leadership in developing, pitching, selling, and deploying new technologies to solve operational problems
• Python development with expertise in Python data analytics packages such as pandas, numpy, scipy, gensim, and scikit-learn
• Database technologies, including Elasticsearch and SQL databases
• Data pipelines and workflow technologies, such as Apache nifi
• Task tracking and version control technology, such as github and JIRA
• AI/ML technologies and packages, such as tensorflow, pytorch, and scikit-learn
• ML model development on text data, including NLP, and structured datasets
• Data visualization technologies and packages, such as Kibana, Bokeh, Leaflet/Folium, and Tableau
• Developing in a cloud environment, such as Amazon Web Services
• Building application web-based front ends
• Handling restricted data sets, both at the individual and system level
• Managing data to include transfer, ingestion, ETL, management, retention, and deletion while maintaining provenance and handling and dissemination restrictions
• Working with data spread across multiple enclaves
• The Organization’s A&A process; security regulations, policy, and guidance
• Documenting and editing the results of technical analysis for publication to non-technical audiences
• Solving tough problems by developing repeatable methodologies
• Building and maintaining web-based applications
• Developing Flask apps
