Ultrasound Technologist Job Details

• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Ultrasound Tech Contract
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: December 29, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night Shift, Friday–Sunday, 3x12-hour shifts (21:00 – 07:30)
• Total Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2160–$2210
• Unit: Sonographer, CC100312

Ultrasound Tech Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hospital-based ultrasound technologist experience required
• Proficiency in Liver and Renal Doppler ultrasound procedures required
• Current ARDMS or ARRT Sonography certification required
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Valid Virginia ultrasound tech license or compact state license (or eligibility for 30-day work authorization)
• Ability to float to other units within scope as needed
• Two professional references required

Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform general and specialized diagnostic ultrasound imaging, including Liver and Renal Doppler studies
• Deliver sonography services to a diverse patient population: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Respiratory Services, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams)
• Maintain accurate imaging documentation and utilize the EPIC electronic health record system
• Adhere to hospital policies, including natural nail policy and completion of required orientation modules
• Demonstrate flexibility by floating within scope as needed
