No Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Report Developer with over 5 years of experience in Application Modernization to join our dynamic team. The position will play a critical role in the modernization of the Delivery Operations Information System (DOIS) for the United States Postal Service (USPS). The Report Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining analytical reports for the DOIS modernization project for USPS. The individual will leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance reporting capabilities and generate insights that support USPS's delivery operations. - Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to support USPS delivery operations.
- Utilize AI tools like GitHub Copilot for report development and optimization.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop customizable reports with key performance indicators, advanced analytics, and dynamic reporting features.
- Integrate reports with various USPS data sources including TACS, PTR2, WebEOR, and TRPGEO.
- Ensure reporting solutions comply with USPS's data governance, security, and compliance requirements, including Section 508 Accessibility standards.
- Conduct thorough testing of reports to validate accuracy and performance.
- Provide training and support to end-users for effective use of reporting tools and dashboards.
- Continuously monitor and improve reporting processes for operational efficiency.
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end reporting solutions, leveraging full stack developer skills to integrate front-end visualization tools with back-end data processing and storage systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields, preferred but not required.
- If there is no relevant college degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
- 5+ years of experience in report development and data visualization.
- Experience with AI tools, particularly GitHub Copilot, for report development.
- Strong understanding of SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS) and legacy system modernization.
- Proficiency in reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty).
- Experience in a USPS environment or similar federal IT projects.
- Certification in reporting or data visualization (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
- Experience with Version One Agile Lifecycle Management Tool.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions).
