Position Title: Assessment & Intake Therapist

Location: Alexandria, Virginia
Work Environment: Outpatient Treatment Center | Dual Diagnosis Programming

License Requirements : Virginia Clinical or Provisional License (Resident in Counseling/LPC, Supervisee in Social Work/ LCSW, or Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy / LMFT)

Schedule: Full-Time| On-Site | Monday to Friday

Compensation Range: $70,000-$87,000 (Dependent on license and experience)

The Assessment & Intake Therapist is responsible for completing assessments and coordinating intakes for the facility's partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs. Engages family throughout the assessment process to help support the client in starting the appropriate programming. Conducts initial pre-authorization reviews and concurrent authorization reviews for clients with insurance. Interacts with members of the medical/clinical team to provide an initial service plan and admission summary. All duties are to be done in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Clinician - Clinical license required: Resident in Counseling/LPC, Supervisee in Social Work/ LCSW, or Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy / LMFT.
• (Must be licensed in Virginia or able to transfer license prior to start date).
• Minimum of 1 year of non-internship experience with family therapy and/or substance use or mental health treatment.
• Proficiency in evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness.
• Master's Degree in a relevant field
