Research Assistant 26-005
Summary
This is a research assistant position working in the Department of Biomedical and Translation Science, VHS/ODU.
The candidate should have bachelor’s degree on Biochemistry/Neuroscience/Biology. The main responsibility of this position is to perform lab work assigned by PI to complete projects proposed by NIH grants.Job Responsibilities:
Job Duties:
- Western blots, gRT-PCR
- Immunostaining, cell culture
- Lab management and animal work
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education and/or training: Bachelor's degree in biology/neuroscience/biochemistry/biology
Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities:Undergraduate levels in lab settings, 0-1 year of experience.Preferred qualifications: Cell culture/animal experience,
This position is being filled through the Research Foundation, which is a separate entity from Old Dominion University (ODU). While we work in support of ODU, the Research Foundation operates independently and is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
