Position Summary: The Technical Designer I is responsible for assisting the design team in producing digital design, print collateral, product packaging, and graphic designs that are on brand for Born Primitive. Essential Job Functions:

• Utilize both creative and technical skills to ensure the creative concepts are executed with high attention to detail and fit the Born Primitive brand
• Collaborate closely with Director of Product and design team to bring to life new products, designs and product branding
• Develop complete tech packs in coordination with the design team, which will include but is not limited to: detailed product specifications, fabrications, and technical drawings for graphic prints, product packaging, trims, tags, etc.
• Responsible for the technical execution of new product design, including but not limited to: product measurements, color pantones, and design detail specifications of all illustrative art
• Responsible for tech packs maintenance, tracking changes/additions, and clear, timely communication with design team
• Maintain thorough knowledge of current and past assortment, including but not limited to: decoration techniques, silhouettes, yarns/fabrics and design details

Required Minimum Qualifications/Job Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, apparel design, communications, or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in graphic design, techincal package development or apparel design
• Ability to thrive in a quickly growing and very fast paced work environment
• Ability to meet deadlines while tasked with multiple projects
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Must be available to work Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm, as well as occasional Holidays and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

This is a primarily sedentary position, however, standing desks are available for use. Associates may occasionally climb stairs, bend, stoop, walk, lift up to 10 lbs, and crouch as needed. Rarely associates in this position may be asked to push/pull up to 50 lbs, work in extreme conditions (heat/cold), and/or travel on a voluntary basis.
