Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

The New Hire Utility role involves learning to operate equipment associated with extrusion or tube mill processes and handling aluminum products. Candidates will start as Utility employees and receive training to operate and support machinery, while also managing materials using lifting techniques and hoists.

Responsibilities

• Operate or assist in operating extrusion or casting equipment while ensuring quality objectives are met.
• Report and review any unusual conditions to lead operators or supervisors.
• Work collaboratively with team members and management to meet daily production goals.
• Adhere to Union terms related to shift movement and flexibility, regardless of Union membership.
• Perform machine operation, quality checks, packing, inspecting, and learn various departmental roles.
• Participate in press team operations related to the aluminum extrusion department.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, machine operation, or related fields.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality assurance.
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shifts and up to 12-hour shifts, including weekends.
• Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting weights over 15 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn forklift operation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, VA.

The pay range for this position is $20.31 - $20.31/hr.
