• Location: Norfolk, VA 23507 (Virginia nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Nursing Resource Pool
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 7, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2020 - $2070

Telemetry RN Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry, acute care, or clinical support roles
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Experience in Same Day Surgery, Detox, Bone Marrow Transplant, Mental Health, or IDD is a plus

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs for patients in the Telemetry unit
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using electronic health records
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate clinical interventions
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management
