Ampsight is seeking an experienced Software Developer with an active TS/SCI clearance to join our dynamic team supporting one of our federal government end clients. As a Software Developer, you will work on a variety of projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineers, Architects, and Data Scientists. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both frontend and backend components of software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software applications and systems.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Maintain, update, and test software to improve performance, debugging and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with other engineers, developers, and stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for code and software functionality. Document processes, configurations, and changes.
  • Manage tasks and timelines to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in software development or a related field
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or C#.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies, including object-oriented programming (OOP), functional programming, and software design patterns.
  • Experience with integrated development environments (IDEs), version control systems (e.g., Git), and other development tools.
  • Knowledge and experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, React, TypeScript and Vue
  • Knowledge and experience with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap and Tailwind
  • Knowledge and experience with development frameworks such as Spring, Django, Flask and .NET.
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including database design and querying.
  • Experience with REST and graphQL web servicesand APIs.
  • Proficiency in software testing methodologies and tools (e.g., unit testing, integration testing, automated testing).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, including collaboration with other developers, designers, and product managers.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies in a rapidly changing field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in person at client sites as projects require
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance (required for some projects)
  • Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, AWS Certified Developer, or other relevant certifications
  • Experience managing or contributing to software projects from conception to deployment.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub
