Summary of Position:

Converting Machine Tenders (AKA: Expeditors) are responsible for the safe and efficient movement and packaging of our finished goods, which are typically pallets of converted fiberboard that have been cut into customer-specified sizes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Operate pallet jacks, banders, and stretch wrappers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist machine operators with machine setup, including adjusting settings and loading materials.
• Conduct and monitor pallet construction and packaging to ensure proper function and quality output.
• Conduct regular quality checks to maintain product specifications and identify any deviations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance tasks as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of waste materials.
• Complete production logs and reports accurately and timely.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of machine operation and safety procedures.
• Performing other related duties assigned.

Position Requirements / Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of previous experience working with and around industrial machinery.
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding and ability to take measurements down to 1/16th of an inch.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as directed.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
• Physically able to perform manual strapping and banding of pallets.

Working Hours:

• 1st shift runs from 6:00AM to 2:00PM (8-Hours) Monday - Friday.
• 2nd shift runs from 2:00PM to 12:00AM (10-Hours) Monday-Thursday
• Flexibility and overtime may be required to meet operational needs; therefore, weekends may be required as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Additional Information:

• Compensation: $18 - $19 p/h
