This staff will oversee front desk staff and all membership operations, create sales goals and maintain monthly reports of sales. The Membership Director will report directly to the General Manager. Compensation: $50,000/year Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAct as the key point person for new membership salesResponsible for managing the membership sales processDevelop, implement and monitor membership sales business planRecruit new members and create partnerships with local community businessesPropose, develop and market membership pricing levelsPresent approved membership options and prices to prospective membersRespond to telephone and email membership inquiries, booking and maintaining appointments for prospective members to tour the clubProvide prospective members with an enthusiastic and informative tourAchieve financial objectives by preparing budgets, analyzing and responding on variances and initiating correctiveactionsComplete all membership paperwork for new members, including application and scheduling initial trainerconsultation requirementsTrack, prepare and report on daily membership sales and monthly end numbersResponsible for member retentionEnsure accuracy with billing, downgrades, freezes, and terminationsAssist with the distribution of passes, fliers, and other materials to create traffic flow of prospective membersDevelop relationships and encourage member referralsAttend required meetings, trainings and other scheduled activitiesMake follow up calls to all prospective members to confirm appointments, for those that did not show for appointments and for those that enrolledWork together with all departments as a teamManage Front Desk operationsSupervise and train staffCoach and counsel staff as neededRequires great communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust be extremely professional in appearance, demeanor, and communicationMust have excellent leadership skillsMust have excellent customer service skills including a strong background and ethos of customer serviceMust be an effective leaderMust be able to clearly communicate expectations of fellow team members and hold the team responsible for goal achievementsMust be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skillsMust have strong time-management skillsAble to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentMust be able to work under pressure and be decisiveMust be able to handle difficult situations• Able to motivate employeesAble to multi-task and prioritizeMust be a team playerMust be creativeAble to remain calm and focused in an emergency situationMust have strong mathematical skillsMust have strong problem-solving skillsMust be able to draft and negotiate agreementsMust be able to work irregular shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as neededMust have previous experience with budgets, sales and P&L ManagementKnowledge of & respect for Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center MissionKnowledge of the rules and regulations of JRSSC, including its Personnel Handbook, and abide by themPerform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by the General ManagerSupervisory ResponsibilitiesManages 1-2 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 15-20 employeesCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with JRSSC’s policies and applicable lawsResponsibilities include:Training employeesPlanning, assigning, and directing workAppraising performanceRewarding employeesCounseling employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information;
