Warehouse Specialist/Forklift Operator

- Receive all personal property, verify receipt of property, properly inventory the property, report discrepancies, place property in appropriate storage area, prepare stock control tags, make stock selection, issue processing reports, prepare packing and transfer documents of personal property to customers. This task also includes manually placing items in inventory and physically taking them to the proper location throughout the warehouse using the proper material handling equipment.
- Verify quantity, nomenclature, and unit of issue against the incoming documents for all property received (Standard Forms 120, 122, 123, 126 and DoD 1149 and 1348); Utilizing bar code, printing labels, and/or other nomenclature per standard operating procedures.
- Note discrepancies (if applicable) and Report findings to Site Supervisor.
- Ensure items are properly inventoried, marked, tagged, and labeled in accordance with the GSA Personal Property Center Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); or as required.
- Store, stack and palletize items based on use, size, shape, weight, quantity, spoilage factor, and pilferage; and in the most efficient manner to ensure maximum utilization of warehouse footprint.
- Operate government-owned material handling equipment to include trucks and forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks, 2- and 4-wheel dollies that can lift 2,000-6,000 pounds (108-168 inches).
- Ensure loading docks are to be clear and ready for the next business day by close of business each day.
- Make use of automated systems to process incoming and outgoing property to ensure property accountability of personal property located in the warehouse.
- Prepare reports as it relates to inventory received in shipment and performance thereof.

Experience:
- Preferred: Warehouse experience: 1 year
- Required: Forklift
- Preferred: Forklift Certification
