Job Title: Dispatcher

Industry: Home Services (Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Appliance Repair, etc.)

Location: Alexandria, VA (on-site, free parking available, not metro accessible)

Assignment Type: 6-month contract with potential to hire

Pay: $22–$25/hour depending on experience

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (with potential overtime at supervisor’s discretion)

Job Description:

The Dispatcher will play a vital role in ensuring seamless communication between customers and field technicians. This position requires someone with a strong customer service background who can manage multiple priorities, coordinate schedules, and deliver excellent client support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to inbound calls and emails in a professional, customer-friendly manner
• Accurately input and maintain service request details in internal systems
• Assign and dispatch work orders to the appropriate technicians in the field
• Act as a liaison between customers and service professionals to ensure timely and accurate communication
• Transfer calls to appropriate team members and escalate urgent issues as needed
• Support the team with general administrative and clerical tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of customer service or dispatch experience in a home services environment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related field strongly preferred)
• Prior experience coordinating directly with field technicians or contractors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); knowledge of ServiceTitan or similar systems is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with high attention to detail
• Punctual, dependable, and committed to providing excellent customer support
• No formal education requirements

Additional Details:

This is a fully on-site role in Alexandria, VA. The location offers free parking but is not metro accessible, so candidates must be comfortable with the commute. Background checks may be required upon conversion.
