This role is for the technical lead of a large digitization contract software platform that performs tracking, reporting and analytics of source material and its delivery to VA systems of record. This involves understanding and delivering technical solutions that evolve with the VA mission. The primary responsibility of the tech lead is to understand the program processes and technical implementation while working with the development team to maintain priorities and vision of our software implementation. In addition, the role requires direct interaction with our government stakeholders and GDIT partners to discuss and address challenges and grow our platform with changing needs and contract growth. Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with Veterans and members of the Military community
- Evaluates the effectiveness of new proposed technologies
- Solution technical implementations and guide the implementation
- Develop data-driven solutions for difficult business challenges
- Maintains close alignment with the Program Manager through routine communication, status updates, and solutioning support
- Engages with Government Customer as a trusted advisor, communicating in an understandable way to a group of stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds
- Leads team of dedicated technical resources in execution of contract requirements
- Collaborating with multiple teams and team types to ensure communication and direction is clear
- Working closely with business analysts to understand the needs of the mission
- Utilizing professional judgement, critical thinking skills and research to improve processes and resolve issues affecting program performance
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline with at least 12+ years of experience
- Must have 4+ years of experience leading technical efforts
- Must have 2+ years of solution architecture
- Understanding and experience with Agile & Lean principles & methodologies for incremental development and deployment
- Must demonstrate critical thinking skills to resolve operational issues and identify risks and mitigation
- Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present business leaders
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
- Strong knowledge of AI and Agentic AI

The likely salary range for this position is $166,816 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
