Refrigeration Technician
- Harrisonburg, VA (Relocation Assitance Offered)
- 1st and 3rd shift available | 6am - 6pm | 6pm - 6am (2-2-3 schedule)
- Food Production Company
- $30 - $45 /hour DOE
- Overtime Available 1.5x Rate over 40 hours
We are working with an established food processing company based in **Harrisonburg, VA. **They are recruiting for multiple **Refrigeration Technician **to join their team during their 1st and 3rd shifts in return for a salary in the region of **$30 - $45 /hour **along with excellent employment benefits which include 401K, Healthcare, Vision and Dental, PTO and Life Assurance.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the refrigeration systems in the plant
- Working with ammonia refrigeration systems and repairing system components
- Working with/maintaining spiral freezers, Cryovac
- Reading of gauges and instruments
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment
- Monitoring operation of equipment
- Maintaining inventory of supplies and materials
Qualifications & Experience required:
- 3 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration and HVAC systems maintenance
- Experience with compressors, condensers, evaporators, and other ammonia refrigeration components
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and controls related to refrigeration
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
