Now Hiring: Assistant Property Manager – Herndon, VA
Location: Herndon, Virginia
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Pay: $23–$25/hour (based on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Property Manager to join a dynamic residential community in Herndon, VA. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in supporting the day-to-day operations of an apartment community. Candidates with LIHTC experience and Entrata knowledge are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Property Manager with daily community operations
• Support leasing activities including applications, move-ins, renewals, and resident retention
• Ensure compliance with LIHTC, affordable housing, and company policies
• Handle resident inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution professionally
• Process rent payments, delinquencies, and maintain accurate resident files
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of work orders
• Assist with recertifications, audits, reporting, and occupancy goals
• Maintain a high level of resident satisfaction and professionalism
Qualifications:
• 1–3+ years of property management experience required
• Previous Assistant Property Manager experience preferred
• LIHTC/Tax Credit experience required; Section 8 knowledge is a plus
• Experience using Entrata property management software strongly preferred
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
