The Vice President executes the R&D strategy for the company, working with leadership to develop a vision and the associated initiatives to achieve our business objectives. The ideal candidate will enhance the R&D team’s development and foster a culture of continuous improvement and industry leadership. With nearly 2,000 team members across the US, HITT is known for delivering exceptional building experiences and fostering innovation, sustainability, and trust in its projects.**Responsibilities*** Develop and execute a strategic R&D roadmap to enhance construction efficiency, sustainability, and technology integration.* Lead research efforts in emerging construction trends, materials, and methodologies to enhance HITT’s competitive edge.* Collaborate with internal teams, industry experts, and external partners to drive innovation and implement best practices.* Oversee the development and testing of new construction techniques, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.* Manage R&D budgets, resources, and department team members to optimize workload allocation, project outcomes, and return on investment.* Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and digital transformation within construction operations.* Represent HITT Contracting in industry forums, conferences, and partnerships to promote thought leadership and innovation.* Ensure alignment between R&D initiatives and business goals, supporting operational efficiency and long-term growth.* Develop strategic recommendations for the executive leadership on corporate initiatives, acting as a futurist and innovation business partner.**Qualifications*** 8-12 years of professional experience in construction or related industry.* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field* Proven experience in R&D, especially in the construction industry.* Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of driving innovation and implementing new technologies.* Deep understanding of construction materials, methodologies, and emerging trends.* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to engage with stakeholders at all levels.***HITT Contracting is an equal opportunity employer.
