Our Client is hiring a full-time Senior Network Administrator to join our on-site team in Arlington, VA. In this vital mid-shift role, you'll play a key part in designing, maintaining, and enhancing secure communication networks. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
This full-time role follows a Monday - Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM schedule, offering consistent 10-hour mid shifts and three-day weekends.
As our Senior Network Administrator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and performance of our communications networks. Your days will be spent designing, configuring, and managing complex LAN/WAN systems while monitoring networking performance using industry-leading tools. You'll troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, mentor less-experienced engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement enhancements. Your expertise will keep our systems secure and efficient, ensuring seamless communication and operational success. Whether it's evaluating new technologies or coordinating hardware acquisitions, your contributions will directly impact our mission.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS
The Network Engineer will play a crucial role in driving the success of multiple
concurrent efforts.
Designs, plans, and builds communications networks.
Configure routers and switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems and VPN
concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols.
Coordinates LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements.
Monitors the network utilizing industry leading technologies.
Provides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design
process.
Plans for implementation of enhancements.
Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of
difficult problems.
Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches,
firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies
and maintains system backup and recovery capability.
Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor
services as needed.
Creates plans and configure systems for data communication networks.
Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Designs and builds the hardware and software components for computer or
telecommunications networks.
Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced network personnel.
Having an Aruba certification (ACSA and/or ACSP) is highly desirable but not required to become our Senior Network Administrator.
Willingness to work mid shift and full time on site
