About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 13:00 - 01:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS Must-Have: - BLS - ACLS - PALS - Emergency Room Experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The unit has 12 beds and approximately 25 staff members. Day shift typically includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1 tech. Night shift features 1 charge nurse and 1 RN after 1 AM. A Clinical Coordinator is present from 3 PM to 11 PM. Patient ratios are generally 4:1 unless in a lower acuity area. Equipment in the unit includes Glidescope, bedside ultrasound, and Trauma room setup. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Key skills sought include triaging and stabilizing patients. The unit cares for a diverse patient population, including trauma cases and pediatric patients. Ideal candidates are driven, fast-paced, and have an outgoing personality. Tattoos that are exposed must comply with specific guidelines. Hair color must be of a natural shade. Employees will be required to work rotating weekends and may be on call based on departmental needs.
