Active Registered Respiratory Tech (RRT) license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Registered Respiratory Therapist with specialized NICU skills to support patient care in a fast-paced medical center located in Spotsylvania, VA. This contract position offers the chance to work in a modern facility known for its dedication to patient outcomes and use of advanced respiratory technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal and adult patients, with an emphasis on NICU care.
• Perform procedures including CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and assist with intubation and mechanical ventilation.
• Utilize advanced respiratory equipment such as Hamilton C1, V60, and Hamilton MR1 ventilators.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Meditech system.
• Work 3 twelve-hour shifts weekly, including every other weekend.
• Adhere to unit policies and uniform guidelines, which require all-black scrubs.

Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Minimum of 2 years general respiratory therapy experience.
• At least a level 3 proficiency in NICU respiratory therapies is required.
• Experience with neonatal respiratory support modalities.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred or obtainable after hire.
