Commercial Door & Hardware Project Manager
We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager in Norfolk, VA to oversee commercial door, frame, and hardware projects from initial planning through final completion. This position focuses on hands-on project management, field coordination, and scheduling to ensure installations are executed safely, on time, and to high-quality standards. Responsibilities
- Lead commercial door, frame, and hardware projects in Norfolk from kickoff through closeout
- Schedule and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries efficiently
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and hardware schedules for accuracy and compliance
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, change orders, and documentation
- Serve as primary point of contact for general contractors, owners, and internal teams to ensure project scope and deadlines are met
- Implement workflow improvements and best practices to enhance project efficiency and outcomes
- Provide oversight on multiple concurrent projects across Norfolk
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in commercial door, glass, or related construction fields
- Knowledge of door, frame, and hardware installation processes preferred
- Strong project coordination, scheduling, and multitasking abilities
- Proven capacity to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and professional client-facing demeanor
