CNC Mill Machinist

AMG, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to join our 1st shift machining team at our Jefferson Ridge Parkway location. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and inspecting CNC milling equipment to produce precision parts that meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-quality machined components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets as needed.
• Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Make basic program edits or adjustments to ensure part accuracy.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain consistent part quality.
• Document production activities in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area, following all safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of CNC milling experience in a manufacturing or job-shop environment.
• Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of GD&T.
• Proficiency with CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, or similar).
• Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining best practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to producing quality parts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-axis milling equipment.
• Ability to program or modify CNC programs (CAM or at the machine).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts.
• Must be 18 years of age and a U. S. Citizen.
