Our Government & Public Sector (GPS) Digital Engineering practice helps organizations solve complex problems through purpose‑led transformation. We partner with U.S. government agencies, providing digital strategy, customer experience, process improvement, technology effectiveness, digital architecture, and program integration.

Your key responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze requirements.
• Design and develop user interfaces that enhance user experience.
• Write clean, maintainable code and create specifications that support business objectives.
• Actively participate in the design of software components and translate requirements into technical design and tasks.
• Communicate effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives.
• Provide estimates on assigned tasks.
• Write quality code that is simple, reliable, and scalable.
• Analyze and fix moderate to complex problems during development and support, and document results.
• Participate in white‑boarding sessions, impact analysis, and explore methods and tools to improve the development process.
• Learn new client information quickly and translate data modeling, process modeling, and revision control systems.
• Proficiency in agile delivery and development methodologies.
• Experience in application development tools and quality assurance practices.

Skills and attributes for success

• Gathering and analyzing requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps, and/or Dynamics.
• Designing user interfaces.
• Participating in the design of software components.
• Effective communication with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives.
• Independent, quality code writing.
• Rapid learning of client information and data/process modeling.
• Strong understanding of agile methods.
• Proficiency in application development tools and QA practices.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Ability to obtain or maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience integrating with external systems.
• Comfortable working in‑person as needed.

Due to the nature of our work in the Government and Public Sector, work may be required at client, EY, or contractor sites. Candidates should be willing to travel 20–30% or more.

Ideally, you'll also have

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with clients and identify engagement follow‑on opportunities.

• A comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Base salary ranges from $102,500 to $187,900, with higher ranges in NYC, Washington, and California.
