Business Development Representative
Wylander, a recruiting company specializing in the disaster restoration industry, is seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Representative for a Restoration company in Alexandria, Virginia.
Business Development Representative Compensation and Benefits:
- $45,000 + Commission Plan

They are seeking a candidate who can create new prospects and clients, provide an exceptional client experience, and show compassion while building new relationships with organizations to help them achieve their next stage of growth. The Business Development Representative is responsible for achieving sales goals and executing sales plans within an assigned sales territory and/or account. They will need to generate and secure new sales revenue by prospecting and adding customers.
Business Development Representative Responsibilities:
- Design an action plan to successfully create new business and build client relationships
- Create and maintain sales route records
- Manage the calendar, coordinate daily routes and review with management
- Perform sales calls resulting in scheduled meetings with target referral prospects
- Report leads to dispatch or book call
- Gain commitment from customers, leading to referrals of those in need of restoration services
- Maintain a professional, ethical, and positive disposition as a primary representative of the company in the community
- Complete weekly and monthly sales reports in a timely manner
- Regularly attend client meetings, trade shows, networking events, conferences, etc.
- Maintain customer contact database
Business Development Representative Requirements:
- 3+ years proven sales experience in a business development role, preferably in home services
- Results-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to multitask with a sense of urgency to make things happen
- Proven ability in creating and maintaining relationships with teammates and clients is a must
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, trustworthy, confident, and organized
