Maintenance Technician

Location: Martinsburg, WV

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Pay Rate: $25.00/hr

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician / Industrial Mechanic to join a local plastic manufacturing company in Martinsburg, WV! This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and fabricating equipment to support safe and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain machinery and production equipment (including basic electrical work)
• Perform fabrication and welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) and torch cutting (burning)
• Conduct general maintenance of equipment and facility/property
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
• Assist with additional tasks as needed to support production goals
• Work collaboratively within a team environment
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
• Experience with welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics
• Knowledge of gear reducers, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electromechanical systems
• Familiarity with machine shop operations and ability to fabricate minor parts
• Basic plumbing and pipefitting experience
• Knowledge of bearings, belts, chains, and power transmission systems
• Proficiency using hand tools, electrical tools, and measuring devices (tape measure, precision tools, meters)
• Ability to follow multi-step instructions and apply sound judgment
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High attention to detail with precision work and tight tolerances

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
• Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making skills
• Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide using fractions and decimals)
