Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. Candidate must have advanced Java expertise with very strong Angular experience to design, build, and deploy cloud‑native and serverless applications on AWS.

Rate Range: $52/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud‑native applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS services.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.

• Develop CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks using AWS Code Pipeline, Code Build, and Code Deploy.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance using CloudWatch, X‑Ray, and related AWS tools.

• Implement and maintain AWS security best practices including IAM, KMS, and CloudTrail.

• Manage cloud infrastructure and automation for scalable deployments using ECS/EKS, Fargate, and CloudFormation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in Java, Angular, and cloud‑native application development.

• Client requires strong expertise in Spring Boot, advanced Java concepts, and Angular.

• Client requires proven experience designing and deploying applications using AWS services and CI/CD pipelines.

Pay Details: $52.00 to $56.00 per hour
