Schedule:

• 12-hour days (every other weekend and major holiday required)
• Option for a blocked weekend schedule may be available

Qualifications:

• Active RN license (or compact state eligibility)
• Minimum one year of RN experience; acute care experience required
• Proficiency in reading and verifying rhythm strips (must pass EKG exam at orientation)
• Experienced in lab draws, peripheral IV starts
• Demonstrated skill with titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, Amiodarone)
• Experience managing insulin drips and BiPAP
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the full nursing process, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team
• Monitor and respond to cardiac rhythms and physiologic changes
• Manage patients requiring advanced cardiac interventions and respiratory support
• Float as needed to ICU, Med/Surg, or ED within scope and demonstrated competency
• Provide patient and family education, emotional support, and advocacy
