As a Security Officer Patrol Dispatcher in Colonial Heights, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff. This role offers the chance to deliver exceptional customer service and communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document relevant observations and actions according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor foot traffic, assist with access-related concerns, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support loss prevention awareness by maintaining a visible presence, observing customer and employee activity, and communicating security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
