Playwright Automation Tester

Akkodis is seeking a Playwright Automation Tester for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. You will be responsible for building end‑to‑end Playwright frameworks, executing E2E and API tests, and enabling continuous testing through DevOps integration.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Playwright Automation Tester job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain a robust end‑to‑end automation framework using Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript for web applications.

• Create and execute high‑quality automated test scripts covering functional, regression, integration, and end‑to‑end (E2E) scenarios.

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) to support continuous testing and gated deployments.

• Develop and maintain automated API tests to validate backend services, data integrity, and system reliability.

• Perform cross‑browser testing across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit to ensure consistent application behavior and performance.

• Identify, log, and track defects in JIRA, collaborate with developers to resolve issues, and participate in code reviews to ensure test code quality, scalability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8–10 years of professional experience in test automation and quality engineering, with a strong focus on web application testing.

• Must have hands‑on expertise in Playwright using TypeScript or JavaScript, including building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks.

• Proven experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and working with cross‑browser testing, API automation, and defect tracking tools.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
