Systems Engineer II (S)
SimIS, Inc. seeks Systems Engineers II to perform systems engineering functions including requirements synthesis, verification planning, systems analysis, and design coordination for training simulation systems. This position supports the development and maintenance of shore-based training systems across multiple SCSTC locations. The candidate performs the following specific assignments:
- Use experience and knowledge with U.S. Navy simulation system integration and testing activities
- Support systems engineering processes including requirements management and configuration control
- Support verification and validation activities for complex Navy systems
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
- Three to seven (3-7) years of U.S. Navy systems engineering experience
- Experience with simulation system integration and testing activities
- Knowledge of systems engineering processes including requirements management and configuration control
- Experience supporting verification and validation activities for complex systems
- Familiarity with military training systems and combat system simulations
- Mandatory : Must meet DOD 8570 requirements for Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level I
- SECRET clearance
- Preferred: Master's degree in related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira)
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with government reporting requirements and CDRL deliverables
- Experience with DoD acquisition processes
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with NSWCDD or Navy programs
