Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Richmond, Virginia (23220) – Virginia nursing jobs
• Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Cath and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
• Employment Type: Travel RN contract
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
• Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (08:00 – 18:00), Tuesday–Friday
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2670-$2740
• Call Requirements: 2 shifts per week to start; may increase based on lab needs
• Unit Volume: Low-volume (approx. 140 cases/year)

Pediatric Cath Lab RN Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state (or eligibility for 30-day work authorization)
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab RN experience, including pediatric cath lab experience
• Experience circulating procedures; monitoring and scrubbing skills preferred
• Proficiency with Epic and GE Mac Lab required; Claris experience for EP preferred
• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
• BSN preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• 2 professional references
• Ability to float within scope as needed
• Compliance with facility policies (natural nail policy, flu vaccine required, fingerprinting for ER/Psych candidates)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Circulate, monitor, and scrub for pediatric cath and EP lab procedures
• Assist with central line insertion and management
• Perform baseline measurements, cardiac mapping, and arrhythmia induction
• Support cardiac ablation, device closure, pacemaker insertion, and lead extraction/removal
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation
• Utilize Epic for charting and clinical documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, etc.)
• Adhere to infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Participate in call rotation as assigned
