Interventional Radiology RN Job Details

• Location: Charlottesville, VA 22908 (Virginia nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based Interventional Radiology
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Locum Tenens
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/15/2025 – End: 12/15/2025)
• Shifts: Day shifts, Monday–Friday; choose 4x10-hour (07:30–18:00) or 3x12-hour (06:30–19:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-call: 4 on-call shifts every six weeks
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Epic Charting Experience: Required
• Flu Vaccine: Required (No exemptions)
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (Interventional Radiology nursing experience preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse license (pending license accepted, must be in-hand before start date)
• BSN preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to float within nursing scope of practice as needed
• Professional references required
• Must comply with 50-mile radius rule (local candidates not accepted)

Interventional Radiology RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the Interventional Radiology department
• Circulate and scrub for IR procedures, including chemotherapy administration
• Collaborate with IR physicians, vascular surgeons, physician assistants, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Operate advanced IR equipment (Possis, atherectomy, ultrasound, IVUS, ablation units)
• Float to other hospital units within nursing scope as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
• Accurately document patient care using Epic charting system
• Promote patient safety and comfort throughout all interventional procedures
