Responsibilities

• Erect and install structural steel components according to blueprints and specifications
• Perform welding and bolt-up activities as required to secure structural elements
• Use a variety of tools and equipment to fabricate, measure, and cut steel beams and columns
• Safely operate cranes and aerial lifts to lift and position structural components
• Conduct inspections to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations
• Collaborate with other team members, such as welders, fabricators, and engineers, to complete projects on time and within budget
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Iron Worker in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of structural steel components and their installation processes
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Demonstrated ability to safely operate cranes, aerial lifts, and other construction equipment
• Excellent welding and bolt-up skills
• Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Be able to pass background and drug test

Hourly Rate $38.00 to $39.00 based on experience (overtime opportunities available)
