Benefits Program Assistant - M-F, 8a-5p - $17.66 per hour
Provide program support to eligibility staff; perform a variety of tasks required for the completion of financial assistance applications and re-determination for continued assistance.
Representative Work Functions and Responsibilities
- • Provide a variety of support tasks to assist eligibility workers with telephone coverage, routine correspondence, filing, maintenance of case records, etc.
- • Prepare and file required records, reports and related data using accepted methods and basic mathematical skills.
- • Conduct face to face interviews and assist customers in completing required forms using good interpersonal skills and interviewing techniques.
- • Contribute to good public relations through prompt, courteous attention to customers, co-workers, and the public.
- • Plan, organize, and prioritize daily tasks by accepting directions from supervisor and co-workers.
Requirements :
High school or GED plus two (2) years’ experience in fields providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities in administrative, clerical, benefits, office tech. Must have, or obtain, a current and valid Virginia or North Carolina driver’s license in accordance with Virginia or North Carolina DMV driver’s license eligibility requirements.
