LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $64.27 per hou
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business need
• The required availability for this position is rotating shifts:
  7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, with rotating weekends (8:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage pattern
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulation
• Verify appropriateness and safety of prescribed medication
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient and pharmacy record
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications including dosage, storage, side effects, and interaction
• Advise patients on medication use and answer question
• Provide patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol managemen
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices (blood pressure monitors, glucose meters)
• Compound medications for internal and external us
• Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedure
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerk
• Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplie
• Identify drug-related problems and collaborate with physicians and healthcare team
• Work in conjunction with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals

LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Requirements

• Active pharmacist license issued by the state pharmacy board
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and clinical practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

LTC Closed Door Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications

• Previous long-term care (LTC) or closed-door pharmacy experienc
• Experience with sterile compoundin
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills
