Position: Information Technology Specialist IV
Nature of Role: We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented Systems Administrator – IT Support professional with over 15 years of progressive IT experience supporting enterprise environments. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in Windows systems administration, Tier 1–3 support, cybersecurity compliance, account management, system imaging, patch management, and secure environment operations. An Active Secret Clearance and strong understanding of RMF and security frameworks are highly desirable.
This role requires a customer-focused IT professional who can manage day-to-day operations while ensuring system integrity, security compliance, and operational efficiency across multiple environments .
Responsibilities:
Systems Administration & Infrastructure Support
- Install, configure, build, image, and maintain Windows servers and workstations (Windows 10, Windows 7, Windows Server 2016/2008 R2).
- Administer and manage Active Directory users, computers, groups, and permissions.
- Create, modify, disable, and audit user and service accounts in accordance with security policies.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange environments and grant mailbox permissions using PowerShell.
- Configure and maintain VPN solutions (F5 Big-IP Edge, Cisco AnyConnect, Check Point VPN).
- Monitor server health, backups, and system performance.
- Perform server maintenance, patching, and system updates.
IT Support & Service Desk Leadership
- Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 technical support to end users across multiple locations.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues.
- Manage help desk ticketing systems (BMC Track-It, Remedy, BridgeTrak).
- Develop and maintain SOPs and knowledge base documentation.
- Communicate planned/unplanned outages and technical updates to stakeholders.
- Deliver high-quality customer service and end-user training.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in systems administration and IT support.
- Strong experience with:
- Active Directory & Exchange Administration
- Windows Server & Desktop Environments
- Patch Management (WSUS, SolarWinds)
- Endpoint Security & HBSS
- System Imaging & Deployment
- Experience supporting secure/closed environments.
- Hands-on PowerShell scripting for reporting and permissions management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network domains.
- Experience supporting 1,000+ users in multi-site environments.
- Active Secret Clearance (preferred or required depending on contract).

- Security+ CE
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
- ITIL v3 Foundation
- Certified Help Desk Manager / Professional
- RMF/CDSE Certifications (CS102–CS107, CS200)
