Our Corporate Marketing team is looking for an experienced, motivated Executive Communications and Events Manager to help us create more visibility and excitement around our inspirational, mission-driven work by owning our ambitious executive communications and events programs. You will have 8+ years of communications experience in corporate, in-house, or agency settings. If you've worked for large, multi-faceted organizations, that's a plus. You're detail-oriented and an excellent writer. You're equal parts analytical, strategic, and creative. And you communicate ideas creatively and concisely, while adapting messages for all mediums and audiences. As the Executive Communications and Events Manager, you'll develop and execute a thoughtful, measurable, and impactful external and internal plan that inspires our key audiences. A true communicator with a marketing mindset, you'll bring a passion for events, experience partnering closely with executives, and a knowledge of business strategy and industry acumen to help us share how ICF is making meaningful, global impact. What You Will Do Support our internal and external executive communications strategy and execution, including employee and industry communications, media engagement, thought leadership, executive board placement, awards, and appearances.
  • Establish close working relationships with top level executives, learn their voice and craft communications recommendations based on their strengths.
  • Partner with Content and Internal Comms teams to develop content and shape employee events for executives.
  • Partner with our PR agency and help manage a comprehensive internal and external editorial calendar.
  • Identify, design, and lead corporate-level events strategy and planning.
    • Work across the broader Marketing and Comms team to lead owned and industry corporate external events and internal events. Oversee content development and execution of all event elements, from creative to speaking and sponsorship to earned media.
    • Implement best practices and share across the business to help elevate our overall external events presence.
    • Leverage metrics, technology, and industry best practices to develop and implement new and innovative communication mediums and tools to increase communication effectiveness.
    Support corporate brand campaigns. Assist in the development and execution of external, company-wide communications efforts, creating some communications programs and campaigns from scratch and leveling up others.
    • Partner with top executives, internal business stakeholders, subject matter experts, thought leaders, and PR agencies to develop internal and external content that highlights our purpose-driven projects and unique culture.
    • Be a message machine and help us translate the complex work of ICF into memorable and emotionally relevant communications, content, and assets.
    • Ensure our employee and market messages are aligned and supportive of creating brand ambassadors.
    What You Will Bring With You
    • 8+ years of communications experience in corporate, in-house, or agency settings.
    • Experience working directly with senior executives (vice presidents or above).
    • Experience developing and executing corporate and employee events.

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • A thorough understanding of the communications channel mix.
    • A proven track record of planning and delivering effective and creative communications programs that produce tangible results or change.
    • A passion for finding new and creative ways to reach an audience.
    • Experience working closely with content, brand, and creative teams to ensure your communications are as engaging as possible.
    • Command of using metrics from various platforms, such as LinkedIn, Poppulo, and Viva Engage (Yammer), to measure communication effectiveness.
    • Familiarity in staging and publishing online content, including SharePoint.
    • Experience in technology consulting or government contracting.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is: $94,247.00 - $160,220.00 Reston, VA (VA30)
