Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for daily operation of the reception, control and waiting area for the hospital Radiology Department. Serves as liaison for all imaging modalities for patient check-in, registration, exam orders, billing, imaging results. Oversees and provides technical support for the central scheduling module.

Supervises performance of all clerical support staff including. Provides training for all new employees and maintains the skill levels of staff members. Supports and upholds organizational and departmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Maintains a customer service orientation in all interactions with hospital departments, physicians and their office staff.

What qualifications you will need:

Education: Associates Degree in Communications/Public Relations preferred.

Certification: BLS certification through American Red Cross (AHA and military certifications accepted) required upon hire.

Experience: Two years prior hospital and/or Imaging related experience preferred with registration

processing. Must be able to perform job responsibilities with little or no supervision. Must be professional and tactful with good judgment in dealing with physicians and their office staff, hospital personnel, visitors and the public. Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
