Lead DevOps Engineer
***This role is based at one of our corporate offices in Memphis, TN, McLean, VA, or Dallas, TX***

On the DevOps team reporting to the Director of Pipeline and Platform Engineering, you will support projects at the forefront of hospitality technology innovation .

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
What your day-to-day will be like:
- Architect next‑generation cloud platforms and automation solutions.
- Devise and evolve code‑driven automation strategies that ensure environment consistency across development, testing, and production.
- Build long‑term automation solutions using scripting and programming (Groovy, Shell, Python, Terraform, or Java/JavaScript).
- Provide technical leadership and implementation guidance for UI, APIs, and microservices.
- Work with development teams to guide best practices, design patterns, and operational standards.
- Understand new architectural concepts and recommend improvements from an infrastructure and security perspective.
- Support reliability engineering efforts and participate in on-call rotations for mission-critical & revenue-impacting cloud services.
What deliverables you will take ownership of:
- Design and implement enterprise DevOps architectures, reference patterns, and tooling strategies.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD tools and pipelines across the organization (GitLab preferred).
- Enable seamless, secure, and available software builds and deployments across Agile teams.
- Configure, tune, deploy, and operate Kubernetes clusters (EKS preferred).
- Maintain containerized applications with Docker or similar technologies.
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Five (5) years of experience in Technology or a related field.
- Four (4) years with CI tools such as GitLab (preferred), or Bamboo.
- Four (4) years architecting and developing automation to support Continuous Delivery.
- Three (3) years administering Kubernetes.
- Three (3) years on AWS cloud platforms
- Proficiency in scripting/programming in Bash
- Experience supporting reliability efforts, on‑call rotations.
- This is a hybrid role and would require to be near our Memphis, Dallas, or McLean office locations.
- Travel up to 10%.
It would be useful if you have:
- Bachelor's degree OR Associate's + 6 years tech experience OR HS/GED + 12 years tech experience.
- Seven (7)+ years of technology experience .
- Five (5) years of CI tool experience (GitLab or Bamboo), Cloud and Kubernetes platforms.
- One (1) year of management experience
- Scripting experience in Python or Terraform
