Job Title: Special Education (SPED) Teacher – Autism Classroom (Long-Term Substitute)
Location: Chantilly
Duration: 20 Weeks
Schedule: 10:50 AM – 3:40 PM
Pay Rate: $40 – $49 per hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education (SPED) Teacher for a long-term substitute assignment supporting an Autism classroom. This role focuses on providing individualized instruction and behavioral support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special needs in a structured and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals.

• Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

• Collaborate with the IEP team to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

• Track and document student progress, academic performance, and behavioral data.

• Implement evidence-based behavioral and instructional interventions.

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and related service providers.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

• Strong knowledge of special education instructional strategies and IEP development.

• Ability to manage classroom behaviors using positive reinforcement techniques.

• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Required License

• Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching license (state-appropriate certification required).
