Hourly Pay Range: $ $19.50
Position Description
The NSBE SEEK Lead Camp Facilitator serves as the primary instructional leader and classroom supervisor within the NSBE SEEK program. This role is responsible for driving a fun, engaging, and rigorous hands-on engineering curriculum while fostering an inclusive environment that promotes curiosity, teamwork, and leadership development among students.
NSBE SEEK Lead Camp Facilitator manages classrooms of 15–25 students and provides introductory instruction in STEM concepts through team-based engineering projects. In addition, they oversee and support 2–3 NSBE SEEK Camp Facilitators, ensuring consistent instructional delivery, effective classroom management, and a high-quality student experience. Lead designation is communicated during on-site staff training.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily classroom instruction and implementation of the NSBE SEEK engineering curriculum
- Supervise, coach, and support NSBE SEEKCamp Facilitators in classroom delivery and engagement techniques
- Foster a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment for students
- Submit incident reports using JotForm, as required
- Maintain all student forms, classroom materials, and instructional supplies
- Serve as the first point of contact for facilitator needs, questions, or concerns
- Participate in and help facilitate daily staff debrief meetings
- Run point on end-of-program classroom closeout procedures
- Oversee before- and/or after-care services when requested
- Support overall program implementation through additional duties as assigned by the NSBE SEEK Program Manager
Qualifications
- Returning NSBE SEEK staff member or demonstrated leadership experience in youth programs, education, or camps
- Strong facilitation, communication, and classroom management skills
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
