Arrow Specialties USA is seeking a Run Plant Engineer (Process Engineer)to support and optimize our Solvent Recovery operations in Richmond, VA. This is a critical, hands-on technical role responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing performance.

About the Role

As the Run Plant Engineer, you will provide frontline technical leadership and partner closely with operations to ensure the plant runs safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will:

Drive Operational Excellence

• Monitor daily KPIs, process trends, and alarms to ensure stable, optimized operation.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement metrics and systems that drive performance.
• Utilize Manufacturing Technology tools and process automation to enhance throughput and quality.

Lead Troubleshooting & Root-Cause Problem Solving

• Serve as the first point of technical escalation for operations challenges.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting in partnership with internal Subject Matter Experts.
• Investigate and resolve asset utilization issues and deliver sustainable corrective actions.

Champion Safety & Operating Discipline

• Maintain strong field presence to reinforce critical procedures and safe operating practices.
• Ensure compliance with all plant permits and Process Safety Management requirements.
• Own and update operating procedures to reflect best practices.

Support Production & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Production Planning to optimize scheduling.
• Lead Management of Change (MOC) activities for process and equipment modifications.
• Design and execute process tests to validate improvements.
• Train and coach operations personnel using your process knowledge and technical expertise.

Minimum requirements

• BS in Chemical Engineering required
• 35 years of manufacturing experience, ideally in chemicals, refining, or related process industries
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a passion for driving results

Preferred requirements:

• Distillation experience preferred
• Exposure toProcess Safety Management (PSM)environments strongly preferred
• Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience is a plus
