Full Stack Developer

Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Developer to support analysts through the provision of large datasets, methodologies, and data visualizations to address pressing intelligence questions. This role is located in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining a cloud-based data environment to transport, store, extract, transform, and load (ETL), and disseminate data solutions.


• Engaging regularly with data scientists, analysts, and managers.


• Assisting with strategic planning and overseeing implementation of the cloud-based data environment, to include mapping of data sources and access controls.


• Developing code, data models, and documentation to standards; providing systems administration and programming support for ETL processes and data infrastructure efforts; and training and conducting knowledge transfer to team members on issues and technologies related to Sponsor ETL process, on premise high capacity compute cluster, and administrative duties.


• Coordinating with external data and platform providers to ensure the smooth functioning of the systems and data flows, and to accomplish any needed changes and coordinate with experts to assist with technical aspects required to acquire new datasets or data management technologies for inclusion in the environment.


• Supporting the cross-domain transfer and integration of data.

Required Qualifications:

• Experienced support in data engineering, cloud architecture, and application development.


• Effectively facilitates communication and collaboration as a technical liaison across diverse teams, including system engineers, data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and managers.


• Proficient in utilizing AWS cloud services, including long-term storage solutions and cloud-based database services such as Databricks and Elastic MapReduce (EMR).


• Experienced in designing and implementing SQL database structures and data mappings.


• Expert in leading and executing large-scale data migration projects.


• Possesses a strong understanding of database architecture and performance design methodologies, with a preference for familiarity with Glue, Hive, and Iceberg.


• Skilled in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, and Terraform.


• Knowledgeable in DevSecOps solutions and tools, integrating security practices throughout the development lifecycle.


• US Citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and a successfully completed Counterintelligence Polygraph.

Desired Qualifications:

• Possesses a thorough understanding of the data environment and on-premises compute infrastructure.


• Expert in Data Quality and Data Governance principles and practices, ensuring data integrity and reliability.


• Proficient in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing ETL processes through the standardization and implementation of data flows using Apache NiFi and other ETL tools.


• Experienced with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and analysis.

This position is located in Chantilly, VA.

The estimated salary range for this position is $170,000.00 - $210,000.00, commensurate on Clearance, technical skillset and overall experience.
