We are currently seeking an Office Assistant to provide administrative support to our construction team in a small office setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized professional looking to develop new skills while working in a supportive and structured environment.
Responsibilities:
Answer and direct calls and messages for the construction and accounting departments
Organize and maintain office files and job-related documentation
Process accounts payable, file invoices for approval and review
Log and track time weekly, maintain spreadsheets, and ensure data accuracy in Excel
Scan and store all accounting documents electronically
Set up job files and track change orders in the computer system
Open and distribute mail daily, assist accounting with daily tasks
Follow established processes and procedures to ensure smooth office operations
Work closely with accounting and independently handle daily responsibilities
Assist with additional administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of related administrative experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Dependable transportation for commuting to the office
Ability to follow structured procedures and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Non-smoking workplace with a casual dress code
Must provide one professional reference prior to employment
On-site training will be provided for the right candidate. This position offers great opportunities for growth.
