- Shift: Monday - Friday 9:00 am through 5:30 pm. (OFF: WEDNESDAY AND SUNDAY)
We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking food service warehouse Material Handler and Receiver . In this hybrid role, you’ll be responsible for receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, and handling materials to keep our grocery store stocked, orderly, and running efficiently behind the scenes.
- Unload delivery trucks using manual or powered equipment.
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments.
- Sort, label, and stage stock.
- Safely and efficiently move inventory to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving and backroom areas.
- Dispose of packaging and recycle materials as needed.
- Assist other departments with stock replenishment.
- Follow all safety protocols and lift like a pro.
A Day in the Life of a Warehouse Receiver and Material Handler:
- Start the day: Trucks arrive with fresh goods, and you jump in to unload them using pallet jacks and hand trucks—handling produce, dairy, dry goods, and more.
- Check everything: You read labels, count items, and double-check that deliveries match the invoices. Accuracy is your superpower.
- Keep things moving: You organize and move products to the sales floor or storage areas so everything’s where it needs to be.
- Stay tidy: You clean up spills, break down boxes, and keep the workspace neat and safe.
- End your shift: By the time your shift ends, you've moved thousands of pounds of groceries with care and purpose—plus, you probably hit your step goal without even trying!
What You’ll Need to Be Successful:
- No experience required — we train you!
- Forklift experience is a plus—but we’ll train you if you need it!
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Can work well on a team.
- A positive, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly moving environment.

- Experience operating a Forklift
- Forklift certification

Physical & Environmental Demands:
- Lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing 25–50 lbs; sometimes up to 75 lbs using proper lifting methods.
- Stand and walk on concrete floors for up to 8 hours or longer each shift.
- Frequently bend, squat, twist, reach, and kneel while moving and handling stock.
- Use step stools and ladders to reach high shelves; must have good balance.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, shrink wrap machines, and other basic equipment.
- Work in cold areas like walk-in coolers and freezers, and in warm or outdoor delivery zones.
- Be comfortable in moderate noise from equipment and deliveries.
- Handle various packaging materials that may include light dust or allergens.
- Wear provided safety gear such as gloves, non-slip shoes, and back support as needed.
- Adjust to lighting and temperature changes throughout the day as work conditions shift.
- Reasonable accommodations can be provided.
