Brayman Construction in Wytheville, VA is looking to hire a full-time Carpenter Foreman . This role will be assigned to our existing projects in Wytheville, Damascus, and Bristol, VA.

A background in heavy civil and/or industrial construction is a must. The Carpenter Foreman needs to have at least 2 years of supervisory experience and 5 years of carpentry experience.

Carpenter Foreman Responsibilities

• Trains and manages craft personnel on the assigned project.
• Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of carpenters.
• Provides constructive and timely feedback to personnel and the Superintendent regarding performance evaluations.
• Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Troubleshoots issues that arise and notifies superintendent.
• Notifies Superintendent of equipment, material, labor problems.

Carpenter Foreman Education & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction.
• Minimum of 5 years carpentry experience.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Safety

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
